quotum holds a Venice API account. Each seat gets a Venice key with a daily cap, paid for by the trading tax on $QUOTUM. A key reaches private and anonymized models on Venice. What a key does not spend by the 20:00 UTC bell is burned.
A key is access to models for you and your own agents. It is not money, not a balance you own, and not a claim on the sink, the tax or anything else. The same goes for a Hermes key and a day key.
2Venice's terms come with the key§
Every request made with a key goes to Venice and is governed by Venice's Terms of Service, its Privacy Policy and the terms and usage policies of each model's provider, listed at venice.ai/models. You agree to follow them as if you held the Venice account yourself. Where these terms and Venice's differ, the stricter rule applies to you.
Venice can revoke, suspend or rotate any key at any time. quotum can too. When that happens you have no claim against Venice or quotum for the unspent part.
You may not use a key, quotum.org or anything made with them:
- for any illegal purpose, or against any law where you are or where the effect lands
- to make, request or share child sexual abuse material, or anything that sexualizes minors
- to infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other rights
- to harass, threaten, defraud or impersonate anyone, including Venice or quotum
- to make or spread malware, or to probe, overload, scrape or get around the security or the limits of Venice or quotum.org
- to reverse engineer Venice's or quotum's services
- where a wrong or failed output could reasonably lead to death, serious injury, or significant physical, financial or safety harm. The call is a game with one number. It is not advice, and nothing a model writes for you is either
- to help or let anyone else do any of the above
4Keys are not for sale or for sharing§
You may not sell, rent, lend, pool, forward or otherwise transfer a key, a seat's cap, a Hermes key or a day key, or any access they give. You may not run a key behind a service that answers other people's requests.
A day key is a gift from a seat holder to one person. It is free and is not for resale. A Hermes key is for the seat holder's own agents.
What you send to a model and what it answers are yours, as far as the law and the model's provider allow. Venice may use them as its own terms say.
They go to Venice, not through quotum, except in the seat console and on a day key's page, where quotum.org passes them on to Venice. quotum keeps the spend of each key and the receipts on quotum.org. It does not keep a prompt or a reply, with one exception. The latest result of each scheduled task is kept on quotum's server so your console can show it. It is deleted when you turn the task off, when the seat is freed, or when it passes to another wallet. A seat's memory is stored only encrypted.
You are responsible for what you send and for how you use what comes back.
6Private and anonymized models§
Some models on Venice are private and some are anonymized. quotum shows which is which as Venice labels them and as the console checks them. quotum makes no promise about what Venice, a model's provider or anyone else can see. Read Venice's own pages before you send anything sensitive.
quotum.org, the keys and every output are provided as is and as available. quotum and Venice disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. Your use of any output is at your own risk.
To the fullest extent the law allows, neither quotum nor Venice, nor anyone working for either, is liable to you for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, tokens or access, whatever the cause.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid quotum, which is nothing, since a key is given and not sold.
9You cover the cost of your misuse§
If your use of a key or of quotum.org breaks these terms, Venice's terms or anyone's rights, you will defend and indemnify quotum and Venice against the claims, losses and costs that follow.
You must be at least 13 to use a key, and you need a parent's or guardian's consent if you are under 18. Some models and some places need you to be older. Follow the stricter rule.
quotum may change these terms. The date at the top says when. If you keep using a key after a change, the new terms apply. A change that matters is also posted on the log.
